Looks like you had a great time, good on ya!

So now that you've been on the runners, would you rather be skijoring or mushing?

If i had the snow (an two good knees) to train for it, the skijoring seems like it could be a blast! Alas, I am too crippled to get dragged down the trail at 20 MPH with very few skiing skills and folks at home expecting me to be able to walk, and work! So yea, MUSHING is my choice. It is Safer (a little) You can stand upright (the extended crouch was the worst...) and at least you have a brake!!! that is, if you are coordinated enough to be able to stand on it in time! :) how r u anyway? gnarly fires are you near all that? stay safe.

I think mushing is the way to go, although skijoring is a lot of fun --and cheaper too. Glad your knee is doing better, cool.

Hmmmmm, the fires... we've had our share over in SA as usual. Nothing like the massive ones over in VIC though. There's been a few small grass fires within a couple of miles, but they were put out pretty much immediately. We aren't way out in the country so we are pretty safe. Ummmmm, Sturt, South Aus if you want to google map it (you can see our pool on the satellite image!!)

Enjoyed the urban mushing video below. I bike with my westie but I'm soon getting a second dog and considering a big one who likes to pull. Great pics too. Thanks for sharing.

I've come back to tell you I've just this week taken a huskie rescue - 4yrs old and I've called him Friskie - he didn't even have a name but 5 days and he knows it now, with us!! I'd love to take up this sport but I'm in UK - do you know of anything similar I can do here ?? Answer would be really welcome, thanks - I read all these musher blogs.
